What is mould illness, or CIRS?
Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome is an ongoing inflammatory response to biotoxins, most often from water-damaged buildings. Some people are less able to clear these compounds, so the immune system keeps responding, causing fatigue, brain fog, pain, sinus and mood symptoms across many systems at once.
WHAT IT CAN LOOK LIKE
When it touches every system at once.
Mould illness rarely sits in one place, which is why each specialist sees only their part.
Fatigue and crashes after exertion
Brain fog and word-finding trouble
Sinus, cough or breathlessness
Aches, stiffness or nerve sensations
New reactions to foods, smells or chemicals
Feeling better away from home
HOW I WORK WITH MOULD ILLNESS AND CIRS
Read the pattern. Restore the balance.
Your symptoms are how your body asks for what it needs. I read the pattern behind them, then choose herbs and nutrients the same way: matched to that pattern, to ease the disharmony, calm the nervous system and rebuild your reserves, so your body can come back into balance and heal.
01
Read the pattern
Your history of every home and workplace, with a Mosaic or Nutripath mould panel to confirm the type, and Endobiogeny for how your body is coping.
02
Calm the nervous system
A body on high alert reacts to everything. Settling it first makes the rest tolerable.
03
Ease the disharmony
Exposure addressed first, then herbs and nutrients matched to your pattern to open the pathways of elimination, paced to how reactive you are.
04
Build reserves
Restoring the gut, energy and hormones once the alarm has quietened. Consultations are spaced to the pace of the body.
WHAT TO TEST
The results that change the plan.
No single test confirms mould illness, so assessment brings several pieces together.
Mould panel
Mosaic Labs or Nutripath, to confirm the type of exposure.
Visual contrast sensitivity
A simple screening test.
Inflammatory and hormonal markers
Often orderable through your GP.
Routine bloods, read through Endobiogeny
How the whole system is coping.
The building
Assessment by a qualified building biologist, often with dust testing.

-
A cluster of symptoms across systems, a link to a building and any history of water damage together raise the question.
-
A Mosaic Labs or Nutripath mould panel to confirm the type, read alongside your history and bloods.
-
